We work closely with a select group of authors to craft books
that are thoughtful, well-designed, and built to last.
At Lakefront Publishing Group, we believe the relationship between a publisher and an author should be built on trust, transparency, and shared purpose. We are a small, independent press. That means every author we take on receives our full attention from the very first conversation to the final printed page.
We are selective by design. We would rather do a few things exceptionally well than stretch ourselves thin across dozens of projects. If we take on your book, it means we believe in it, and we will work tirelessly to make sure it reaches the readers it deserves.
We are currently focused on two areas where we can offer the deepest expertise and the most meaningful impact:
Thought-provoking titles in business, decision-making, leadership, and ideas that challenge the way we think and work.
Warm, beautifully illustrated books for toddlers and young readers. Especially titles that introduce children to careers and the people who inspire them.
We are open to compelling manuscripts that don't fit neatly into a category. If your idea is strong, we want to hear it.
If you have a manuscript and you're unsure whether it's a fit, reach out anyway. We're always happy to have a conversation.
Our Process
Send us a brief overview of your manuscript: your concept, your audience, and why you believe it matters. No full manuscript required at this stage.
We review every submission personally. If your project is a potential fit, we'll reach out to learn more and request additional materials.
We work closely with you to refine and develop your manuscript, from structural editing through to final copyediting and proofreading.
Our team handles cover design, interior layout, printing, and distribution so your book reaches readers looking and feeling its very best.
We'd love to hear about your project. Reach out through our contact page and tell us about your manuscript, we read everything we receive.
